The Evolution of Dragonfly: A Five-Year Journey of Transformation
This season marks five years in business for us here at Dragonfly!
As I look back, I am overwhelmed with gratitude for the growth we've experienced and the amazing clients who have graced us with their presence in every season. These experiences have not only brought us valuable lessons but have also helped shape our core values of clarity and trust, forming a strong foundation for the path ahead.
Many people have asked me, "Why Dragonfly?" Back in 2017, before our business was officially established, I found myself sitting at a river bottom with a friend, brainstorming names for my production company. We were discussing the various qualities of the dragonfly…
Dragonflies possess 360-degree vision with over 1000 facets, enabling them to see the bigger picture and look at things from new and unexpected angles.
With more than three times as many color-producing proteins in their eyes than humans, dragonflies experience vibrancy and have a dynamic perception of the world around them.
Small but mighty, dragonflies are one of the most effective hunters in the animal kingdom, boasting a remarkable 97% success rate. Their strategic approach to their attack has them flying in precise direction, anticipating their target and knowing exactly when and how to strike.
Each of these qualities are central to our approach here at Dragonfly.
Dragonflies are a symbol of transformation. But for me, their transformative nature is more than symbolic, it is personal.

As we uttered those words that summer morning, a dragonfly flew out of the pond and hit me in the eye!
(Yes, this is a true story)

When I officially founded the company in 2018, I was deciding between two names, "Dragonfly Eye Productions" and "Dragonfly Visions." At the time, I chose the former to emphasize our identity as a video production company. However, we've evolved significantly since then - expanding and embracing what we have to offer.
A New Vision - Dragonfly Visions:
Today, we proudly announce our rebranding as Dragonfly Visions, and we believe this name better reflects the original intent of our venture. Our mission is to empower individuals and businesses to realize their vision and potential, utilizing marketing as a process of self-discovery and connection.
We remain a video production agency with a strong foundation in brand messaging and content strategy.
We continue to create systems of content that propel businesses forward.
And now, as Dragonfly Visions, we are stepping into our identity as your holistic growth partner. We offer Growth Consulting services, which encompass marketing and business consulting that places personal evolution and self-discovery at its core.

Just the other day, while walking out of the office after another big win with a client, a dragonfly came from behind the trees - and a few feet above my head, hovered and led me out to my car. These moments are real, they are everywhere, and I believe that when we take the time to do the work and start walking in our true essence, we have the opportunity to transform - and witness the sacredness of life and our purpose.
